I finished my Studio Art Quilt Associates Benefit Auction piece in the nick of time! Submissions are due tomorrow. This is a simple little piece that is a color study for a larger piece I’m thinking of doing for an exhibit later in the fall.
I used scraps of my hand-dyed fabric and a very simple construction technique. Each circle is appliqued to the layer underneath and then the background is cut away to minimize the bulk. It is machine quilted and hand-stitched.
